I have recieved the below e-mail about two missing Iberas.
Quote:We live in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, backing onto wild ground which leads onto the Kenilworth golf course. On 3 September, I came home from work to find the garden gate wide open and both tortoises missing. I believe the wind had blown it open, but haven't ruled out the possibility that they have been stolen as it's very unusual for the smaller of the two tortoises to leave his heat lamp - he doesn't stray far at all but they do sometimes follow each other around so may have just followed the bigger one. They are actually two females - Amber and Eliza - but I always refer to them as masculine for some unknown reason!!

I have spent hours searching for them, even digging soft ground in case they have buried themselves - the weather was atrocious for about 10 days after they went missing. The Kenilworth Weekly News did a half-page spread on them, and someone told me that the Leamington Courier also picked up on the story, but we have not heard a thing from anyone. We have also put notes into all houses nearby, phoned the local vet, police, RSPCA but there has been no sign at all.

My telephone number is 07855 660265.

Many thanks for doing this - you never know!

IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS, THEN PLEASE CALL OR TEXT FIONA ON THE ABOVE NUMBER.

Thanks,

Josh
