Aldi's have coldframe in this week on Thursday, looks quite sturdy made on a wooden frame!!!Rolleyes
Thanks Kay. I might go and get 1. I have been looking for 1. When you place a cold frame in the garden do you put it in the sun or the shade?.Never used 1 before.
I put mine, tricky question!!!!! Well partial sun and as the sun moves around the garden full sun.
My lot our locked up at night so when I open the door in the morning they go to the cold-frame for a warm, mind you if is dull or raining they may stay in there all day!!!
The cold-frame is against a wall so it retains its heat for a while. I have two, one in the corner on the enclosure as well now that's in the shade and is placed on thick planks of wood so there is a big enough gap for the torts to get in, the other one is on bricks at the moment but I will be changing it to wooden planks I find it easier to secure down. In my opinion cold-frames are well worth the money.
Will have to get one. Thanks Kay. I will put mine on wood too if it works better. Do you put anything in the coldframe?.
Paulette, its just on the garden soil, and I have one entrance in on the side. I do on occasion have a queue as they our waiting to go in or out.
Thanks KayBig Grin
