Went to B&Q today and brought a tray of 24 large flowering pansys for £2 and a tray of 24 viola for £2. They also have coldframes for £14.43. Not as good as the Aldi ones but ok.
Paulette have you put the Aldi one together yet? We have and I have decided to keep the white plastic film on the inside of the frame not sure how long it will last for. My Dad is making the frame for it to sit on tomorrow.
Hi Kay. No i haven't put it together yet. Opened the box and it looks ok though. I was looking on Argos and i think the same 1 on there is £50. If it is the same 1 we have got a bargain. The 1 from B&Q is not as strong looking and has got a clear plastic straight top but not bad for the money. It would be ok if you are not leaving your torts out overnight and just using it for a den. Can't wait to get into the garden but the weather is to wet and cold at the moment. When your dad has made the frame Kay can you post so pictures so i have some idea how to do it.
Yes! Sure Paulette, he's pick the wood up this week for me!
mine likes pansys
they were 4 quid a tray at my b an q!! some smaller trays for 3 quid.

how long would you water these out for before letting tortie at them?
I normal pick the 1st lot of flowers off, then any flowers after that my torts will eat.
i mean to wash any pesticides off
leave them out in the rain for a couple weeks, bring them in overnight, failing that, water them from above every day
is it just flowers for these? pansy and viola or can you leave the whole plant in?
