I thought it was time I showed a couple of my torts off. This is Aphrodite with one of her babies. I'm sure I heard her say 'touch my dinner and baby or not, I will eat you in one mouthful'.

This is one of my beloved Wizza, the one who started the craze all of those years ago

He was showing off his flares here - my son used to say he was like a VW beetle

She is captive bred (not by me) and has wonkey scutes at the rear. She's about 20 I would think now. The baby was about 15 grams then lol.
Yes, Wizza had a terrible accident (again not me) and had to have the whole height of his carapace repaired as he split from top to bottom. You can see why he has the honour of being in my email address. He is one lucky tort to be sure and I am glad to still have him

He is the dad to most of my babies as Samson is usually in the naughty corner lol

Its nice to finally get to meet the famous Wizza
Janet
LOL - I will rell him when he wakes up that he is famous. I got him from a pet shop, the last year they imported them in that vile way for the pet trade. The children had always wanted one and I had refused because of the cruelty, but as this was the last year (supposedly) I relented and we took him home. I have some pics of my son as a little boy with him, he's 34 now

Not sure how old Wizza is but he looked just the same when we got him.
They are lovely. The baby looks so small next to her mum. Wizza is lovely. Wow you are lucky to have him by the looks of his shell, was it underneath as well. I love his back legs lol. Sorry i love back legs.

It just about turned the corner to the plastron, where the seam is, you could see the little notched bits where it joined when the fibreglass came off. What is it with you and back legs Paulette? They are cute though I have to admit, even cuter on a baby.
God that must of been painful for him. Whats the stuff used for the repair. I don't know what it is about tort back legs but i love them lol. Sad I know. I agree baby tort legs are ace.
it looks like that water proof filler they use to seal windows!
