Just found this site and was impressed while exploring it, so I joined up!
Long-time tortoise-enthusiast, starting in the early 70s when I inherited my grandfather's beloved pet, a Hermann's tortoise (presumably a Testudo hermanni bottgeri, but back then they were called T. h. hermanni) that was a souvenir from his service in the Merchant Marines, during WWII. Had her for the rest of her life - 19 more years.
Since then I've kept Russians, a Sulcata, a Leopard, a pair of Greeks (no idea of the subspecies or if they were even the same subspecies), a couple Homes' Hingwbacks and some box-turtles (Ornates and 3-toeds), and recently I finally got another Hermann's, which brings me full circle, I suppose.
Anyway, nice place!
