it took her 16 hours in total to get out of the egg.

How much did she weigh on hatching?

14 grams :-)

Shes lovely. Why are all my hatchlings so big. Everyone i talk to theirs are a lot smaller than mine.. They don't look so cute when they are bigger.

Mine went from 12 grams to 15 grams.
mine are horsfields what are yours?.

It's my opinion after listening to others experiences that this usually happens when the parents have been overfed. Wild ones are much smaller. Obviously this is not your fault Paulette as the torts were already gravid when you got them

All mine are always a lot lighter than everyone elses. Not upon hatching but later in life. My yearlings still only weigh between 45-55g!

Hi. I had 1 at 16 grams and the rest were 18,19 and 20 grams. I took this picture just after this 1 hatched.

I agree with you Sue. Yes they were gravid when i got them. I didn't know my hatchlings were so big until i came up to see you. You know what i think but i can't say anymore on the forum. Can't wait to see the difference in them next year when they have been hibernated.
