I'm a little concerned about my Horsefield Tortoise. She's two years old, we've had her for about a year.
I've noticed her do this a couple of times, but not very often. When she sits in her water bowl for a long period of time, there seems to be like this really long purple stool (in the shape of a hammer) that comes out from her bottom. When I have gone for a closer look she almost like notices me and it goes back in... She's just done this now, and after watching her she has done quite a large poo after this happening. I'm unaware if this is normal or not. Like I said i've not seen it happen very often, but I am concerned as to what this could be. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be really grateful if you could share. Thank you very much xx
She is a male Smile LOL
It's very disturbing when this happens but it is a penis and is completely normal.

LOL - yes it's a male. You say he is only 2, which seems very young for him to be doing this. If it occurs when he is passing faeces then it could well be a penile prolapse rather than a deliberate thing. Tortoises that have been grown too fast, with incorrect supplementation can suffer weaker than usual muscles, so it might be worth having a closer look into this. Does he walk on tip toes when moving around or walk with shell on the ground? Pics might help too.
Looks like another male flasher lol but like Sue said 2 is to young for him to be doing this. Are you sure your tort is only 2. Like Sue said post a picture it will help us better.
haha i was scared the first time too, i thought it was a poo and wiped it with a tissue. then went on the internet looking up tortoise willies to make sure. felt like a right perv.
