Hi everyone, what is everyone's opinion on these? Has anyone tried them? I like the idea that they emit d3 but I wasn't sure whether it was just a marketing ploy or whether they are actually work? I currently use a 100w powersun combined bulb (didn't get on with megaray) with an Arcadia full spectrum strip light. I was thinking of replacing the strip light bulb with a d3 one.
Ben
I use them Ben. They are very good but they do give off less heat. I had to run and extra 100x spot bulb last winter with mine to keep them warm.
I changed to a D3 a few months ago. So far I'm really pleased with it.

If you mean the plug in curly ones Ben, a bit like the energy saving bulbs, then they don't cover a very big area. I use them for the babies sometimes just to boost the brightness. So long as you are giving supplement though uvb is not that important for healthy shell growth.
