i just found my tortoise has possibly bloody urine and ive phoned the nearest vet but cant say whats wrong with him unless i give him a sample for testing and i just wanted to know roughly what might be the cause(s) as he appears fine and hungry and very curious asusual.
Any help or advise would be appreciated very much as im very concerned and worried.
Someone with more experience than me will be long shortly and will hopefully be able to give you more advice, but i was just wondering if your tort has eaten a lot of dandelion flowers or yellow/orange flowers? Its just when mine have yellow flower their pee can turn a rusty colour!!
Has your tort ate dandelions or red lettuce recently?
Red lettuce can give a slightly red tinge, and dandelions give pee a rusty colour too.
no but their bark wall my wife brought them looks as though its been eaten so that might be the colouration explaination possibly

hi i just found out my kids were feeding leo extra rodicio leaf so i have stopped giving him it and and he pee is back to normal now but thanks to everyone for their advice and concern it was much appreciated...
