hahaha i got to share this
paulette you just reminded me of when i felt like a complete @rse
explain it better? you did a good job yourself there Smile they will seek out and eat slugs/snails, i leave them to it
my story: no laughing!!
she (yes oscar is a girl) was acting completely normal, eating, drinking, wandering, grazing, doin everything she normally does but i noticed inside her mouth was black and boy did i panic!
i took her straight to a friend who is most experienced with tortoises and all kinds of things related (you know brian, kay) and it turned out that the black stuff was actually black slug gunk!!! i didn't realise slugs were so sticky :rolleye:
i still take a lot of stick for it Sad but so glad i didn't take her to lance, our vet :innocentwhistle:
lol sue.i would panic to if i had seen that.slugs are gross.you are lucky you have brian as a friend.none of my friends keep tortoises so i would of ended up at the vets.and i would of been the arse lol.they do seek out things.i was watching alfie the other day chasing an ant.it was so funny.i dont think the odd slug will do any harm, but its hard for you to get rid of them when you cant use anything to kill them.
