Hi April. I dont put to much sand in with the soil. I find it makes their eyes sore. You will find after a few months what suits your torts best.
ok thanks well at least i will have some as I was going to use either the sand 30/70 or 20/70

April i would just bath them. Then change to top soil. This should help with their sore eyes. Just keep bathing them. Doing this their eyes should clear up on there own. If they don't its a trip to the vets. With bathing them and changing their soil they should be ok. Its very rare that it will end up with a trip to the vets. Its a case of keeping a close eye on them. You will soon learn for what to look out for.
