Hi Keith, and welcome to the nutty world of tortoise keeping

Thanks for the welcomes folks.
He is a Testudo Tortoise. That's as much as i know at the moment. He has a certificate.
It's someone at my Brother-in-law's work that is selling him. So took the chance of getting him. They are moving and can't take him with them.
I've been trying to read up on them as much as i can. Before Friday.
And ye I'm getting very excited

ask anything everyone on here are very helpful and experienced
Here is the only pic's i have of him at the moment.
But will get my own one i get him.
Let me know if he looks ok and healthy.

Hi Keith. The tortoise looks like a horsfield. The only thing i find strange is the certificate part. Horsfields are one of the tortoises that dont need a certificate. You can't tell by looking at a toroise if its healthy or not most of the time. Keith give us as much info as you can when you get it. Take a picture of it's underneath and a close up of his tail. Try to weight and measure it as well. We will be able to tell you if it is underweight or right for its size.
I think he is a horsfield to

As paulette said you can't tell by just looking at him to see if he is healthy or not. More pic's and info will help.
