Hey i just got my tortoise 2day. But i just want to make sure he is ok.
The last owner gave me paper work from the vet saying it is a Testudo Tortoise. Is he?
The thing i'm concerned about is his tail. It has a wee bit of white stuff on it. Should i be concerned?
Dose he look ok?

Hello i think (but wait for confirmation!) that he is a Horsfield Tortoise ( testudo horsfieldii). As for the white stuff i have no idea sorry but i'm sure someone else will be along soon with more knowledge.

Horsfield are testudo but don't need certificates so not sure, what paperwork you were given, perhaps it relates to check he's had with the vet.

He is 5 years old.
He was in a plastic box with a towel in it so he could not see out and keep him warm.
Got him in hes enclosure now. To B&Q as soon as to get the wood to make him a new home

he looks like he dragging himself and not walking clear of the ground
Have a look at this before making a new enclosure:

the Russian caresheet on there is 2nd to none and takes into account their biological needs and behaviours. Brilliant site.
He looks very deformed (Grown way too fast) Does he drag his shell on the floor?
