I have had my Hermann tortoise 'Tigerlilly' for about 4 months. She is about one and a half years old. As its coming to that time of the year, I was just wondering if you could help with the whole HIBERNATION topic.

I have heard that many people do not hiberate if they are only a year. However I have noticed that Tigerlilly is going off her food and not herself. So i am wondering whether to start the hibernation process.

I would really welcome any tips and suggestions......Big Grin
Hi Jade. Welcome to tortoise world. It is a bit to early yet to start the wind down for hibernation. Try checking her temps. I start the wind down for my babies at the end of november. Small babies only need a short hibernation. Will see if Josh will do a step by step hibernation topic for all the people that are intrested.
