Well i have been preparing myself for the little ones hibernating for the first time this year and now have finally got a thermometer. I ordered one from a very well know to tortoise keepers reptile online site in October and am still waiting for it to arrive:flamingmad: despite numerous e-mails. Got fed up waiting so drove 40 miles to the nearest reptile shop today and bought one.
Now need to stabilise temps before starting wind down, its late but i'm hoping better late than not at all. Wish me luck i'm really nervous.

Did you complain to the supplier Wendy - you should have done. Hopefully it is not someone we are recommending. There is a link to thermometers on Tortsmad site in the files/links section usually much chealer than reptile shops.
I have complained the owner has been have some "personal problems" and i have been really patient as i have used them loads in the past but enough is enough and yes i have recommended them on here to others. I should have looked at Tortsmad but just wanted to get one so got in the car and drove at least i've got one. Now just need to get my money back from online store

LOL. They haven't gone down yet Kay. Mind you Terry as only just gone down and settled. My margies are driving me nuts. Before i started wind down i couldn't get them to stay awake. Now they are on wind down i can't get them to go bed lol.
Ah bless them all i will miss mine when they are all having a sleep.

I know Paulette i am already thinking about the enclosure and what else i can do to make it better for them.
I drive my hubbie mad sometimes changing things. Never mind ehh keps me out of trouble.
