Hi i have just bought an exp terra thermometer and have a question please

Does anyone know if you can set the temperature range you need as i can work out how to do it?

The instructions say to reset min / max temps click button but all that happens is i get blank lines then back to current temp. Is this normal or have i bought the wrong thing.
