Hi, what exactly is limestone flour, and when we get our tortoise, where would I be able to buy it from? I understand that this must be sprinkled on the food for 5 days of the week, then nutrobal the remaining 2 days. I'm familliar with nutrobal as I've kept reptiles before, but never heard of limestone flour!

Limestone flour is pure calcium. It should be offered as a supplement for the tortoise to help itself from. Not sure where you had the info re 5 days limestone and 2 days nutrobal :/
Most recognised organisations advise daily supplementation of nutrobal when the tortoise is growing and 2 - 3 times a week when adult. The reason for supplementing nutrobal daily is because in this country there is a shortage of D3 available to tortoises especially when kept indoors. Hope this helps
Thank you Wizzasmum, I have a lot to learn! I can't remember where I read that! Everyone seems to say different things! We are going to speak to the tortoise specialist today, so I'm sure he'll give us lots of good info and advise!
