anyone know if mock orange is safe?
i saw some in poundland and they are lovely looking shrubs with big white flowers although the leaves on the pic looked too shiny and thick to feed to torts
i just wondered if they were safe to plant in my garden
Hi Sue. I'm sure they are not safe. Think i read it some where. I may be wrong though.

Leaves and flowers are high in saponins so not edible Sad
Common name : Mexican Orange Blossom (Mock Orange)
Latin name : Choisya ternata
Family name : Rutaceae
Mock orange has high saponins so not good for tortoise.
